Hi, I am Belinda Lindhardt and I own and "live" in steelkey designs.
For over 14 years I have been working:

By this, I mean the due to my unique skillsets you get the technical person as well as the graphic designer , the project manager, the SEO person, the consultant and the artist.

Many designers specialise in design & have SOME technical experience, web designers often specialise in code & technical and have SOME design experience, so what is the difference between them and me?
I have training, qualifications & extensive hands-on experience in all these areas where many have not.

Design

I am Qualified & Trained in Graphic Design, Completing my Associate Diploma in 1994, this was before software programs could to do it all for you. Graphic design artwork was created with pen & ink & NO computers - imagine.

All important questions in any design project, these days anyone can easily play around in a graphics program. There is more to good design & getting your message accross than simply playing to make things look nice!

Technical

Handcoding HTML has been my foundation for my experience over the years in web related work, this was my primary work for over 10 years. This means I have the technical understanding that works hand in hand with any design work and the result is designs which are functional not just PRETTY.

I have extensive experience all the background stuff like interfaces, files, SEO, website design, usability, content management, how a site will evolve over time and how to create longevity in a project.

Creative

I am also an artist & illustrator. This is a passion of mine and you can bet if you are wanting me to create something just that little bit special I am going to get excited about it.

Having a unique look for your marketing materials can help you stand out from the crowd, or say what you need to say without making your customers read.
Convey a concept, a feeling, a style via creative elements to convey a message or brand or idea to customers.

Working together in Business

Workflow bottlenecks, milestones, areas where the problems can arise during the course of a project are a common complaint for designers and clients.
When choosing designers and people to work with its common to overlook these areas as they are typically intangible things we discover later on down the track and I know we ALL start off with good intentions.

Processes, Architecture, Documentation, Project Managment: This is an area I pride myself in being proficent in. I have worked constantly over the years in creating and refining processes in order to help projects flow smoothly.

In my roles over the years I have project managed projects for other design and marketing agencies as well as been the programmer / designer / animator - creative & consultant so this is also where i have gained part of this knowledge.

Business Ethic

I have a down-to-earth approach to business, I try to weed out the guff and I try to work with my clients and give them some knowledge and understanding that can help them with their projects in the future NOT just for this project.
It's also really important to me to be able to provide value, I like customers to be happy, which in turn makes me happy.
